Elvedin Pezić and Amela Hadžić Mujkić engage in public dispute

A public dispute has emerged between Islamic lecturer Elvedin Pezić and Amela Hadžić Mujkić following a lecture in Zavidovići. Hadžić Mujkić criticized Pezić for failing to mention Gaza during his nearly 50-minute presentation, which covered topics such as prayer, hijab, child-rearing, and modesty.

While she noted that the topics discussed were not unimportant, she argued that a speaker with a large audience should acknowledge the situation in Gaza. Pezić responded via Facebook, stating that her opinion interested him “as much as last year’s snow,” but he criticized her for not moderating the comments on her post, which he claimed contained insults and attacks on his honor and competence.

Hadžić Mujkić subsequently responded to his post, noting the contradiction in Pezić claiming her opinion was irrelevant while dedicating an entire status update to addressing it.
