Elvira horror icon celebrated with show retrospective and new action figure

The cultural legacy of horror hostess Elvira is being highlighted through both retrospective media analysis and new merchandise. A review of the first season of her show, ‘Movie Macabre’ (1981-1986), examines the films featured during its debut, including ‘Grave of the Vampire’, ‘Silent Night, Bloody Night’, ‘The House That Screamed’, ‘House of Usher’, and ‘The Dunwich Horror’.

In addition to the television retrospective, NECA has announced an ‘Ultimate Elvira’ 7-inch scale action figure to celebrate 45 years of the character. The articulated figure includes a soft goods dress, interchangeable faceplates, and various accessories inspired by the 1988 film ‘Elvira: Mistress of the Dark’.
