Elvira Velasco seeks political change in Zamora via general elections

Elvira Velasco, the People's Party (PP) candidate for Mayor of Zamora, expressed confidence that the upcoming general elections will serve as a catalyst for political change within the local city council. Velasco suggested that the national election results could provide the momentum necessary to shift the municipal government, which is currently led by a coalition of Izquierda Unida and the PSOE.

Velasco criticized the current management of Zamora, arguing that the local government has failed to capitalize on favorable economic conditions provided by the central government. Additionally, she voiced opposition to the policies of Pedro Sánchez, claiming that his administration's approach has negatively impacted both the city of Zamora and its province. The PP candidate emphasized the need for a political project focused on stability and economic rigor.
