Elvis Costello Announces 50th‑Anniversary ‘My Aim Is True’ Box Set

Elvis Costello will issue a comprehensive box set to mark the 50th anniversary of his debut album My Aim Is True. The collection, scheduled for release on 2 October, spans five discs and 104 tracks, including demos, live performances, outtakes and 52 previously unreleased recordings. It also features a new 2026 remaster of the original album, rare photographs, handwritten lyrics and fresh commentary from Costello.

Produced by Costello and Steve Berkowitz, the set contains new versions of “Watching the Detectives” – a freshly remastered original, a Pathway Studios tape and a 1977 live rendition – alongside material from sessions at Hope & Anchor and other studios. The package is intended as a definitive retrospective of the landmark record.
