Elvis Costello releases 49th Anniversary Edition of My Aim Is True

Elvis Costello has released the ‘My Aim Is True (49th Anniversary Edition)’, a comprehensive five-CD collection documenting the evolution of his 1977 debut album. The release features 104 tracks, including 52 previously unreleased recordings, demos, and outtakes.

The collection is organized into five distinct discs: ‘My Aim Is True’, ‘The Blue Print’, ‘The Stranger In The House’, ‘Becoming The Attractions’, and ‘Covered In Clover’. These segments trace Costello’s musical transformation from his early days as Declan MacManus through his sessions with the American band Clover and the eventual formation of The Attractions.

The original album has been newly remastered from the 1977 analog master tapes. The set also includes a 2007 live performance with members of Clover and an extensive 72-page essay detailing the history of the recordings.
