Housing prices rise in Valencian Community
Housing prices in the Valencian Community have seen a significant increase, with the average price reaching 1,769 €/m² in the third quarter. This represents a 12.9% year-on-year rise, meaning a typical 90-square-meter home now requires an average investment of 159,210 euros—an increase of 18,180 euros compared to the previous year.
By province, Alicante leads with prices at 1,938 €/m² (an 8.8% increase), followed by Valencia at 1,807 €/m² (14.7%) and Castelló at 1,376 €/m² (13.8%). Rental prices have also climbed by 6.4% to an average of 12.82 €/m², with Valencia recording the highest monthly average at 14.78 €/m².
This upward trend in housing costs has led to social protests, including activists camping in Valencia's City Hall square to demand government intervention.
