Elysian Aircraft develops electric passenger plane for 1,000km range

Elysian Aircraft, based in Hoofddorp, is developing the EX9, an electric passenger aircraft designed for flights with a range of up to 1,000 kilometers. The company aims to accommodate approximately 90 passengers, targeting roughly 50% of the market.

The company has been working on this technology for five years, focusing on battery pack improvements, integrating batteries into the wings, propeller propulsion, and reliable energy systems. The first aircraft is expected to be flight-ready in approximately 10 years.

Elysian Aircraft, which recently won the ‘De Belofte’ category at the Noord-Holland Business Awards, maintains close ties with the Fokker Services Group and is located at their headquarters.
