Ema Volavšek wins Nordic Combined Summer Grand Prix in Bischofshofen

Slovenian athlete Ema Volavšek secured her third career victory in the Nordic Combined Summer Grand Prix in Bischofshofen. After finishing the jumping portion in fourth place, Volavšek utilized a strong 5-kilometer cross-country ski performance to overtake Norwegian competitor Ida Marie Hagen in the final stretch.

Austrian Katharina Gruber finished in third place, nearly a minute behind the winner. Other notable Slovenian performances included Maša Likozar Brankovič, who tied her career-best seventh-place finish, and Tia Malovrh, who placed 13th.

In the men's 7.5-kilometer competition, Norwegian Jens Luraas Oftebro took first place, followed by compatriot Einar Luraas Oftebro in second and local athlete Stefan Rettenegger in third. The Summer Grand Prix is scheduled to continue in Oberstdorf, Germany.
