Ema Volavšek wins third Summer Grand Prix Nordic combined title

Slovenian Nordic combined athlete Ema Volavšek has secured her third Summer Grand Prix overall title. The victory was finalized at the season's concluding event in Chaux-Neuve, France.

In the final race, Volavšek finished third after a strong cross-country performance. Despite sitting in fifth place after the jumping portion, she utilized her speed on the tracks to overcome the field, finishing nearly 50 seconds ahead of the day's winner, Austria's Katharina Gruber. This performance allowed Volavšek to tie with Gruber at the top of the overall standings, ultimately securing the title with 430 points.

Other Slovenian athletes saw notable success in France. Maša Likozar Brankovič achieved a career-best fifth place in the overall standings, while Teja Pavec finished tenth. In the men's competition, Vid Vrhovnik climbed from 17th to 10th place during the cross-country segment, marking one of his best results in the Summer Grand Prix.
