Emanuel Bryan Faces Privacy Lawsuit Over Hidden‑Camera Recording in Indonesia

Content creator Emanuel Bryan, also known as Ebemartono, recorded a woman with a hidden‑camera eyeglass at the 2026 Indonesia International Motor Show (GIIAS) without her consent. The woman publicly complained that she was not asked for permission and that the recording was done covertly.

The incident drew criticism on social media and prompted Indonesia’s Minister of Communication and Digital, Meutya Hafid, to state that the act may violate the Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP) and digital media ethics. Bryan offered to remove the video only for a fee covering production costs, later issuing an apology after the backlash intensified.
