Emanuele Olivieri wins FIA Formula Regional European Championship

Emanuele Olivieri has become the first champion of the new FIA era for the FIA Formula Regional European Championship. The 18-year-old Italian driver secured the title at Hockenheim after a highly competitive season that was decided in the final race.

Driving for R-ace GP, Olivieri achieved two victories and nine podium finishes throughout the championship. His season included key performances such as a pole position and victory at Monza, as well as a dominant win at Imola. Despite a difficult start at the Red Bull Ring, he maintained consistency to secure the title, finishing second in the final race to fend off rival Sebastian Wheldon.

Olivieri is the second Italian to win this championship, following Andrea Kimi Antonelli. His success follows a previous title in Formula 4 Middle East, and he is now considered a potential candidate for Formula 3 in 2027.
