Embark Studios announces ARC Raiders Frozen Trail update
Embark Studios has announced ‘Frozen Trail’, the largest update to date for its extraction shooter, ARC Raiders. Scheduled for release on October 8, 2026, the free update will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and NVIDIA GeForce NOW.
The update introduces Pendola Pass, a vertical, snowy mountain map featuring an abandoned Italian village and a massive fallen Emperor ARC. Players must navigate environmental hazards like ‘Flash Freeze’ weather events and can utilize new extraction methods such as the Ballistic Gondola.
New gameplay elements include three enemy types—the Bully, Skulker, and Hydra—as well as the ‘Frigate’, a large airborne vessel. Players can also customize personal Outposts, use a new Grappling Hook, and access ‘Amplified Weapons’ through a revamped progression system. This expansion follows a successful first year for the title, which has surpassed 16 million copies sold worldwide.
