Embark Studios announces Frozen Trail update for ARC Raiders

Embark Studios has announced a detailed presentation for the upcoming ‘Frozen Trail’ update for ARC Raiders, scheduled for September 23. This update is described as the largest since the game's launch and is set to release on October 8.

A recent teaser video suggests the introduction of a massive new ARC machine, appearing significantly larger than the player character. In addition to new enemies, the update is expected to include a new map designed to enhance exploration within the extraction shooter.

This release marks a shift in Embark Studios' development strategy. Instead of frequent monthly updates, the studio is moving toward less frequent but substantially larger content drops. The presentation may also provide clarity on the future of the ‘Expeditions’ system, which developers are currently evaluating for potential changes or removal.
