Embark Studios announces major ARC Raiders update for October

Embark Studios has released patch 1.45.0 for ARC Raiders, which includes bug fixes and technical adjustments. A significant change in this update is the announcement regarding the game's currency, Cred. Players are advised to spend their remaining Cred before October 8, as the currency will be removed to make way for a more extensive reward system.

Executive Producer Aleksander Grøndal acknowledged that the studio underestimated player demand and the speed at which content was consumed. To address this, Embark is shifting its strategy from frequent small updates to larger, higher-quality content releases.

The first major implementation of this new approach will be the ‘Frozen Trail’ update, scheduled for release on October 8. This expansion is expected to be the game's largest to date, featuring a new icy map, advanced deployment systems, skill tree changes, improved Raider Decks, and new weapons and devices.
