Embark Studios releases ARC Raiders update 1.42.0

Embark Studios has released live update 1.42.0 for the extraction shooter ARC Raiders. The update introduces the second part of the ‘Phantom Targets’ narrative event, which centers on the character Shani investigating erratic Wasp units from the ARC faction. These drones exhibit unusual flight patterns and emit unidentified signals while moving toward a specific location.

Technical improvements include the implementation of regional scheduling for map conditions. This change replaces the previous global rotation system to better align environmental events with player peak hours in different time zones. The update also features a new player project, the ‘Tick Hunter’ skin set, and various gameplay fixes, such as improved indoor footstep acoustics and bug fixes for large enemy hitboxes.
