Embertears announces new album Songs For The Rain God Pt. 2

Hungarian solo metal project Embertears has announced the upcoming release of the album “Songs For The Rain God Pt. 2”, scheduled for November 20, 2026, via Bitume Prods. The album will be available in digital formats and as a CD digipak.

Created by Tamás “Tom” Géza Albert, the project continues a narrative concept exploring the Spanish conquest of Mesoamerica. The album aims to provide contrasting perspectives, examining both the campaign led by Hernán Cortés and the experiences of the Aztec Empire through themes of conflict and cultural collision.

Musically, the release blends sludge, progressive, and stoner metal. The compositions feature heavy, distorted riffs contrasted with melodic guitar passages, utilizing frequent changes in tempo and time signatures, including 5/4 and 6/4 meters.
