Embraer reaches record $35.7 billion aircraft backlog
Brazilian aerospace manufacturer Embraer has achieved a record-breaking consolidated order backlog of $35.7 billion as of the third quarter of 2026. This figure represents a 14% increase compared to the same period in 2025 and a 3% rise from the previous quarter.
The commercial aviation segment reached a backlog of $15.8 billion, driven by significant orders for the E2 family from clients including Abra Group, Binter, Luxair, and ANA Holdings. The executive aviation division also hit a historic high with an $8.2 billion backlog, supported by the launch and certification of the Phenom 300EV.
Embraer’s defense and security sector saw the most rapid growth, with its backlog jumping 56% year-on-year to $6.1 billion, bolstered by a contract from the Colombian Air Force for two KC-390 Millennium aircraft. Additionally, the services and support division reached a record $5.6 billion.
Regarding deliveries, the company delivered 66 aircraft in the third quarter, a 6% increase over the same period last year. For the first nine months of 2026, total deliveries reached 175 units, up 14% from the previous year.
