Embrapa announces upcoming rice and pecan industry events

Embrapa Clima Temperado has announced the upcoming launch of two major agricultural events during the 49th Expointer. The 37th Official Opening of the Rice and Grain Harvest in Lowlands (Abertura Oficial da Colheita do Arroz e Grãos em Terras Baixas) is scheduled to be launched on September 1, with the actual event set for February 16–18, 2027, in Capão do Leão, Rio Grande do Sul.

Additionally, the 3rd National Pecan Meeting (ENAPecan 2026) will be launched on September 2. The rice harvest event, which has been held at the Embrapa Terras Baixas Experimental Station for nine consecutive years, previously attracted approximately 24,500 visitors from ten countries. A long-term agreement between Federarroz and Embrapa Clima Temperado aims to maintain the event at the station for the next decade, focusing on infrastructure improvements, technological showcases, and sustainability in the rice production chain.
