Embrapii to train Brazilian Senate and Revenue officials in AI

The Brazilian Federal Senate and the Federal Revenue Service have partnered with Embrapii to provide artificial intelligence and immersive technology training for public servants. The training will be conducted by researchers from the Embrapii Competence Center in Immersive Technologies (Akcit) at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG).

The initiative offers 500 vacancies for postgraduate and specialization programs focusing on generative artificial intelligence, natural language processing (NLP), software engineering, and agentic AI. The program also includes training in virtual and augmented reality.

Rather than simply teaching the use of existing market tools, the training aims to enable the creation and adaptation of custom models and systems to meet specific institutional needs. For the Senate, applications may include document analysis, legislative information organization, and database research. For the state, the goal is to increase the capacity to identify problems and develop proprietary technological solutions.
