Embry-Riddle defeats No. 1 Rollins in historic soccer win

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University secured a 2-1 victory over No. 1-ranked Rollins College in a highly physical NCAA Division II soccer match. This win marks the Eagles' first victory against a top-ranked team since 2008 and their first ranked win since becoming a full member in 2017.

The match was characterized by intense physicality, resulting in 31 fouls and 11 total bookings. Play was also interrupted by a lightning delay that lasted approximately 90 minutes during halftime.

Elliot Mills opened the scoring for Embry-Riddle in the 26th minute following a defensive turnover. Jonas Banouas extended the lead to 2-0 in the 47th minute, shortly after play resumed following the weather delay. Despite Rollins maintaining an 18-12 shot advantage and several attempts by Finlay Prain, the Eagles held on for the win.
