Embry-Riddle women's soccer ranked fourth in SSC preseason poll

The Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University women's soccer team has been ranked fourth in the 2026 Sunshine State Conference (SSC) preseason coaches' poll. The team follows Eckerd, Nova Southeastern, and reigning national champions Florida Tech in the rankings.

Head coach Liam McIlhatton will lead a roster featuring 14 returning players, including All-Conference selections Lauryn Mateo, Anna Marisa Lara, Stella Roane, and Ida Zetterberg, alongside 12 newcomers. The Eagles are aiming for a seventh consecutive national tournament appearance.

The 2026 regular season consists of 17 games, including 10 home matches at the ERAU Soccer Stadium. The season begins on August 27 with a home game against Lee, followed by a matchup against Flagler on August 29. The team will host Southern New Hampshire on August 31, marking the first time the two programs have met. Conference play is scheduled to commence on September 12 against Eckerd.
