Çeşme Municipality announces urban design and square projects for Alaçatı

Çeşme Municipality held a meeting with tourism industry representatives and local tradespeople to evaluate the 2026 tourism season and discuss future development plans for Alaçatı. Hosted by Mayor Lâl Denizli, the discussions focused on the implementation of the Alaçatı Urban Design Guide and upcoming projects.

A key highlight of the meeting was the announcement of the Alaçatı Square and landscaping project planned for 2027. The project aims to prioritize pedestrians, enhance the accessibility of the historic windmills, and redesign the transportation layout around Atatürk Avenue. The goal is to transform the area into a public living space that preserves Alaçatı’s unique identity while boosting its tourism potential and social life.
