EMEB Professor Paulo Freire wins FETRAN 2026 state theater award

EMEB Professor Paulo Freire, a school from Várzea Grande, won first place in the youth category of the state stage of the 21st FETRAN 2026 (Student Thematic Festival: Theater for Traffic). The award ceremony took place at Cine Teatro Cuiabá, bringing together students from various municipalities in Mato Grosso.

The school’s winning production, ‘O Circo no Trânsito: Sua Conta Está no Vermelho’, uses theatrical language to educate students about traffic safety and responsibility. Despite having only five days to prepare after qualifying through a wildcard round, the school also secured awards for Best Youth Breakthrough Actress, Best Youth Direction, and Best Youth Makeup.
