EMEF Prof. Oswaldo Ferreira sees Ideb growth and national award
EMEF Prof. Oswaldo Ferreira, located in Caraguatatuba, has demonstrated significant academic growth, increasing its Basic Education Development Index (Ideb) score from 5.6 to 6.1. This improvement reflects enhanced student learning and successful integration of local culture into the classroom.
In addition to the Ideb rise, 4th-grade students from the school achieved 5th place nationally in the EDP Escola da Energia 2026 award. Their winning project, a collective book titled ‘Nina, a Tartaruga Caiçara’, focused on themes of energy, the environment, and conscious consumption through the lens of local coastal culture.
