Emelec signs striker Ronnie Carrillo from Mushuc Runa

Emelec announced the signing of 29‑year‑old Ecuadorian forward Ronnie Carrillo, who joins the club from Mushuc Runa. Carrillo arrived in Guayaquil on Thursday and was presented at the Los Samanes sports complex, where he was welcomed by club president José David Jiménez.

The striker recorded 10 goals and two assists in the current LigaPro 2026 season, placing him among the league’s top scorers. He has signed a one‑year contract with an option to extend for up to two additional years based on his performance in the 2026 and 2027 campaigns. Carrillo, who previously excelled with El Nacional in 2023 (11 goals, six assists) and has experience playing in Portugal and Brazil, said he is fully committed to helping Emelec improve its offensive output for the second half of the season.
