Emerald Cruises launches luxury superyacht Kaia and river ship Lumi for 2026‑27 itineraries
In June 2026 Emerald Cruises christened its new 128‑guest luxury superyacht Emerald Kaia at Venice’s San Basilio terminal while the vessel was already sailing the inaugural Adriatic Discovery route, which highlights Istrian ports and the Croatian archipelago. The Kaia, the first of its class, joins Emerald’s ocean‑cruise fleet and will be followed by Emerald Raiya (2027) and Emerald Xara (2028).
In July 2026 the company’s newest river‑cruise ship, Emerald Lumi, was floated out of a Romanian shipyard. The 110‑metre vessel, designed for the Seine, accommodates up to 130 guests and offers suites with private balconies, a heated indoor pool, and a self‑service laundry. Starting in March 2027, Lumi will operate an eight‑day “Sensations of the Seine & Normandy” itinerary, travelling from Paris to Honfleur with overnight stays and excursions to sites such as Giverny and the D‑Day beaches.
