Emergency energy solutions: Power stations and petroleum heaters

Recent evaluations of emergency energy supplies highlight various tools for maintaining power and heat during blackouts or supply disruptions.

Testing of 2,000-watt power stations shows these mobile energy storage units can power individual household appliances. While larger capacities offer more power, they typically result in increased weight and cost. The EcoFlow Delta 3 Plus was identified as a top performer in testing. These devices can be recharged via wall outlets, car cigarette lighter sockets, or solar modules.

Additionally, 3 kW petroleum heaters are being utilized for autonomous heating and cooking. Designed for rooms up to 24 square meters, these heaters feature a 6-liter tank providing 18 to 20 hours of operation. They utilize a lamp wick system that functions entirely without electricity, making them viable during total power failures. Some models include integrated attachments for heating water or preparing simple meals.
