EMERGENCY EXIT performance to debut at Barcelona's La Mercè festival

The artistic performance EMERGENCY EXIT is set to be presented in Barcelona as part of the La Mercè festival on September 24, 2026. The production is a co-production between the EXIT Foundation and the Spanish theater troupe La Fura dels Baus.

Collaborating partners include the Portuguese Boom festival, the EXIT Sea Star festival in Croatia, and the Dutch ecological organization Buro Nuovo, with support from the European Union’s Creative Europe program. The performance is described as an immersive experience combining music, theater, movement, and multimedia, designed to remove the barrier between the audience and the performers.

Central to the production is an ecological message titled “Peace on Earth, peace with Earth.” The musical score is provided by Satori, while the visual elements are created by the Barcelona-based multimedia studio Eyesberg. The project also includes a call for participants to sign a Manifesto for the Salvation of the Planet.
