Emergency incidents reported in Lucca and Calabria

In Lucca, a man stood on the guardrail of a viaduct on the A11 Lucca-Viareggio motorway for approximately twenty minutes. The incident occurred on Tuesday, October 27, at kilometer 77. State Police officers managed to convince the individual to descend safely. The man reportedly took the action after having his driver's license revoked earlier that morning for using a mobile phone while driving. He was subsequently transported to San Luca Hospital for assistance.

In Calabria, a 70-year-old man was rescued after his tractor overturned in the Silva district of Trebisacce. The accident occurred when the driver suffered a sudden medical episode, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. The tractor struck a private fence and flipped, trapping the man underneath. Local residents assisted by lightening the vehicle's load before firefighters from the new Trebisacce detachment arrived to lift the machinery. Due to the severity of his injuries and exposure to diesel fuel, the man was stabilized by emergency medical services and transported via helicopter.
