Emergency rescues reported in Berlin and Istanbul
In Berlin, a six-year-old girl was rescued after falling from the third floor of a building in the Neukölln district. A 34-year-old resident managed to catch the child before she hit the ground. The girl sustained only minor scratches and was taken to the hospital for observation. Authorities are investigating the incident, as no responsible adult was present in the apartment at the time, which housed two other young children.
In Istanbul, a seven-story building partially collapsed in the Maltepe district, with the first three floors falling. Emergency teams have rescued five people from the rubble, but at least seven others, including a six-year-old child, remain trapped. Rescuers have established contact with the child but are struggling to reach them due to the risk of further collapse. Nearby buildings have been evacuated as search and rescue operations continue.
