Emergency rescues reported in Spain and Venezuela

In Barbate, Spain, an 85-year-old man was rescued after spending over 11 hours in a ravine in the La Breña Natural Park. The man had become disoriented while walking on a familiar path and fell approximately 20 meters into a difficult-to-access area. Emergency responders, including the Guardia Civil, GREIM, and local firefighters, located him late at night after family members used Google timeline data to help narrow down his location. The man was found alive but showing signs of dehydration.

In Maracaibo, Venezuela, the roof of a stilt house in the Santa Rosa de Agua sector collapsed on Friday night, injuring three men over the age of 80. Neighbors rescued the victims from the water before they were taken to medical centers. Authorities reported that the structure was already in poor condition. Local officials, including the Maracaibo Fire Department and the Directorate of Citizen Security, responded to the scene and planned to demolish the remaining structure to prevent further risk.
