Emergency responders conduct rescues in Mexico

Emergency services in Monclova, Mexico, responded to a report of a person trapped in an excavation in the 21 de Marzo neighborhood. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that a horse, rather than a person, had fallen into a deep pit. The minor who was reportedly riding the animal fled the scene before authorities arrived. Rescuers used ropes and specialized techniques to successfully extract the horse without significant injury.

In Tonalá, Mexico, firefighters rescued a 58-year-old man from a sewage canal between 12 and 15 meters deep in the Misión del Acueducto neighborhood. The man had fallen into the canal the previous day while working and was located after family members reported him missing. Rescuers performed a vertical descent using specialized rope equipment and a Sked stretcher to extract him. The man, who was conscious but suffered injuries to his head, chest, and limbs, was transported to medical facilities in serious condition.
