Emergency responders perform life-saving rescues in Argentina and Spain

In separate emergency incidents, responders in Argentina and Spain successfully performed life-saving interventions.

In Mercedes, Argentina, police officers from the Grupo de Respuesta Inmediata Motorizada N.º 4 rescued a one-year-old girl who had stopped breathing. Officers Leandro Leiva and Leonardo Elías Monzón responded to a plea from a father at the intersection of Tacuarí and Cartagena streets. Officer Leiva performed resuscitation and airway clearance maneuvers for approximately six minutes while being transported to a pediatric hospital, eventually reviving the child.

In Magaluf, Spain, lifeguards rescued a 44-year-old Czech man with autism who fainted near the shore and faced a risk of drowning. Lifeguards from the 'calvianer' coastal core spotted the man semi-conscious in the water and pulled him to safety. Emergency services stabilized the individual before he was transported to Clínica Juaneda for medical review.
