Emergency response training conducted in Misiones and Montevideo
In Misiones, Argentina, the Ministry of Ecology conducted its second annual training session for the provincial Park Ranger Corps. The program focused on firearms use, first aid, tactical medicine, and intervention procedures. The training aimed to professionalize personnel, specifically those lacking official firearm user credentials, to ensure responsible and proportional use of force during environmental monitoring and inspections in protected natural areas.
In Montevideo, Uruguay, the Uruguayan Air Force conducted emergency medical training using Bell 212 helicopters. Coordinated with the Military Hospital and municipal authorities, the drills focused on aeromedical evacuations and urgent sanitary transfers. This exercise marked the first time in 12 years that the specific landing area was utilized in this manner, strengthening the coordination between military and healthcare agencies for transporting critically ill patients and medical supplies.
