Emergency services conduct training exercises in Vrancea and Teleorman

Emergency services in Romania conducted several training exercises on September 24, 2026, to test response capabilities and public safety protocols.

In Vrancea County, the Anghel Saligny Inspectorate for Emergency Situations carried out a field exercise at a commercial site in Focșani. The simulation involved a fire at a photovoltaic installation on the roof of the HOMELUX store, which threatened to spread to neighboring businesses. The scenario included managing heavy smoke, evacuating trapped individuals, providing medical first aid, and responding to a secondary accident involving a forklift and a collapsed shelf.

In Teleorman County, firefighters from the Videle Detachment conducted a simulation at the Videle Theoretical High School. The exercise focused on fire evacuation and smoke management using specialized ventilation equipment. The drill served as an educational tool for students, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing life over material possessions and following evacuation plans calmly during emergencies.
