Emergency services respond to accidents in Samothrace and Messinia

Several accidents involving injuries have been reported in Greece. On the island of Samothrace, a 70-year-old hiker was injured while walking in the ‘Vathra tou Fonia’ area. The Greek Fire Service responded to the call, transporting the individual to a safe location where they were met by EKAB paramedics.

In Messinia, a 60-year-old man was trapped under an agricultural tractor in Ampelofyto. Firefighters from Gargalianoi conducted a rescue operation involving six personnel and two vehicles. The man was extracted unconscious and subsequently handed over to EKAB medical staff. Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the tractor accident.
