Emergency services respond to fire, accident, and false alarm

Several incidents involving emergency services were reported in Germany and Austria. In Erlenbach, Germany, firefighters extinguished a fire at a wooden shelter on the Schemelsberg wine hiking trail. The damage is estimated at 1,000 euros, and authorities are investigating potential arson.

In Schwaigern, Germany, a 56-year-old driver caused a collision with a parked vehicle, resulting in her car overturning. Police noted the smell of alcohol and conducted a breathalyzer test, which showed a level of nearly 0.4 per mille. An investigation is underway to determine if intoxication caused the accident.

In Hargelsberg, Austria, emergency responders were deployed following reports of a building fire. However, the report proved to be a false alarm, marking the second time in two days that crews were called to the area for non-existent emergencies, following a previous report of a person in distress.
