Imola: 78-year-old man found dead with multiple stab wounds
A 78-year-old man was found dead in his home in the Pedagna area of Imola, suffering from numerous stab wounds. The discovery was made on September 1 after a caregiver alerted emergency services upon finding one of the residents unconscious and covered in blood.
Emergency responders, including the Carabinieri and 118 medical personnel, arrived at the residence on via Vincenzo Bellini, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife, also 78, was found in a state of confusion and covered in blood.
Investigators from the Bologna Scientific Investigation Section have conducted technical-scientific surveys within the apartment. Authorities are currently working to reconstruct the sequence of events and determine the circumstances surrounding the death, including investigating the wife's potential responsibility.
