Emergency services respond to road safety initiatives in Venezuela and fires in Colombia

In Venezuela, the Biruaca Municipal Civil Protection Directorate and the 826 'Morán y Manzano' Army Logistics Battalion conducted a road safety campaign in the El Campito sector along the Troncal 02 highway. The initiative aims to reduce traffic accidents on the Apure-Amazonas axis by educating public transport drivers on the importance of seatbelts and the proper use of fire extinguishers. Authorities stated these preventive measures will continue at strategic points to foster a culture of responsible driving.

In Colombia, a significant fire broke out in the El Poblado sector of Medellín, specifically at Loma de los González near Transversal Superior. The Medellín Fire Department and emergency rescue teams were deployed to combat the flames and manage potential evacuations. While the cause of the fire and the extent of material damage or injuries remain unconfirmed, authorities have advised drivers to use alternative routes to allow emergency vehicles unobstructed access to the area.
