Emergency services respond to separate incidents in New South Wales
Two separate emergency incidents occurred in New South Wales, Australia. In Wallsend, a man in his 60s was hospitalized in critical condition with significant burns to his arms and legs after a caravan caught fire near the corner of Fogo and Bulkara Streets. Firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze near powerlines, and police closed Bulkara Street during the investigation.
In a separate event at the Bayswater Power Station near Muswellbrook, four workers were hospitalized following a suspected exposure to hazardous materials. An on-site chemist and specialist personnel assessed the site, which is operated by AGL. While the specific substance has not been identified, all four workers have since been medically discharged.
