Emerson and Teradyne expand operations in Bengaluru to support India's semiconductor growth

Major technology firms Emerson and Teradyne are expanding their presence in Bengaluru, India, to support the country’s growing semiconductor and electronics manufacturing sectors.

Emerson has announced a 50% expansion of its Test and Measurement R&D Center in Bengaluru. The facility, which serves as the company’s NI Software Center of Excellence, will focus on AI-enabled testing, software-defined approaches, and automated validation workflows. The expansion aims to support global customers in industries such as semiconductors, aerospace, defense, and electric mobility.

Teradyne has opened a new office in Bengaluru’s Bagmane Cosmos Tech Park to provide automated test equipment and robotics support. The move is intended to assist chipmakers and electronics manufacturers as India accelerates domestic fabrication and packaging capabilities through the India Semiconductor Mission. The local office will facilitate customer engagement, training, and strategic partnerships within the evolving semiconductor supply chain.
