Emi Watanabe releases new single ‘Gambatte’

Singer Emi Watanabe has released her new single, ‘Gambatte’, a track inspired by the Japanese expression for encouragement and perseverance. Born in Brazil and raised in Japan as the daughter of missionaries, Watanabe uses the song to reflect on her family's journey and the spiritual conviction required to remain steadfast in foreign lands.

The song was composed by her father, Pastor Gessival Rui Freitas Barbosa, and produced in collaboration with Rogério Vieira. Musically, the track blends oriental musical elements with contemporary rock to create an emotive atmosphere. The project serves as both a personal memoir of cultural adaptation and a tribute to the silent dedication of missionary work.
