Borneo FC drawn into AFC Challenge League Group D

Borneo FC has been drawn into Group D of the Eastern Zone for the 2026-2027 AFC Challenge League. Following the draw held at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, the Indonesian club will compete against One Taguig from the Philippines and Tainan City from Taiwan. The final spot in the group will be contested by the winner of a playoff between Myanmar’s Yangon United and Laos’s Ezra FC.

Borneo FC will serve as one of the tournament hosts, with Stadion Segiri in Samarinda designated as a venue for the group stage matches. The group stage is scheduled to take place from October 17 to October 24, 2026, utilizing a single round-robin format.

Separately, Persib Bandung is preparing for its AFC Champions League 2 campaign. If they defeat Manila Digger FC in the upcoming playoff on August 31, 2026, they will secure a place in the group stage. Should they lose, they may drop down to compete in the AFC Challenge League Group E.
