Emile Doucouré receives first call-up to Mali national team

Emile Doucouré, the 18-year-old goalkeeper for KRC Genk, has received his first call-up to the Mali senior national football team. While Doucouré previously represented Belgium at various youth levels from U15 to U19, he has now transitioned to the Malian national setup.

Doucouré, who currently plays for Genk's U23 squad in the Challenger Pro League, was transferred from Beerschot to Genk last winter for a fee of one million euros. His selection marks a significant step in his professional development. The Malian squad list also includes Charleroi defender Cheick Keita, who returns to the national team after a year-long absence.
