Italy launches ‘Fabbrica’ project with €27 million for youth civic spaces

The Italian Ministry for Sport and Youth has officially launched ‘Fabbrica – Spazi Civici per la Gioventù’ (Factory – Civic Spaces for Youth) in Ascoli Piceno. The project, promoted by Minister Andrea Abodi through the Department for Youth Policies and Universal Civil Service with support from Sport e Salute, allocates €27 million to establish new community hubs.

These civic spaces are designed as accessible, safe, and inclusive territorial outposts for individuals aged 14 to 35. They aim to integrate sports with cultural, artistic, educational, and social activities to foster community engagement and provide opportunities for young people to remain in their local territories.

Financial support will be available to amateur sports associations, clubs, and Third Sector entities through the Youth Policy Fund. The launch in Ascoli Piceno, designated as the 2026 Italian City of Youth, highlights the city's active role in youth-oriented initiatives.
