Emilia Nicolaescu to open glass icon exhibition at Museikon

The exhibition ‘Culoarea Credinței’ (The Color of Faith), featuring over 60 glass icons by artist Emilia Nicolaescu, will open on Thursday, September 3, at the Museikon museum in Alba Iulia.

Nicolaescu, a documentary filmmaker for TVR, aims to demonstrate the continuity of the Orthodox glass icon tradition. The works will be displayed alongside the museum’s heritage icons and will remain available to the public throughout September and October 2026. The exhibition is intended to illustrate how each generation expresses faith through art while preserving cultural identity.
