Emilia-Romagna allocates 1.6 million euros to combat cyberbullying

The Emilia-Romagna region has approved a 1.6 million euro funding plan for the 2027-2028 period to support adolescent sociality and combat cyberbullying through conscious social media use. The budget includes 400,000 euros for regional projects involving at least three provinces, with applications open from September 21 to October 30. An additional 1.2 million euros is allocated for municipal-level projects, with funds already distributed to municipalities and unions of municipalities to identify implementing entities.

In a complementary effort, the Associazione Solidale Viva ODV is launching awareness days in schools to address bullying and cyberbullying. Led by President Lara Lobianco, the initiative aims to provide students, families, and teachers with tools to recognize exclusion and violence in both physical and digital environments. The association emphasizes the need for a collaborative prevention network involving schools, families, and the wider community to ensure no young person feels isolated.
