Emilia-Romagna and France strengthen institutional and scientific ties

The Emilia-Romagna region and France are strengthening institutional, economic, and scientific ties. During a meeting in Bologna, President Michele de Pascale met with the French Ambassador to Italy, Anne-Marie Descôtes, and the Consul General of France in Milan, François Bonet.

The discussions focused on several key sectors, including aerospace, space technology, ecological transition, and water resource management in response to climate change. The collaboration extends to research, innovation, agriculture, and digital transition, involving universities, research centers, and private enterprises.

A significant component of this relationship is the long-standing partnership with the Nouvelle Aquitaine region, which has lasted nearly twenty years. A new collaboration protocol signed in Bordeaux expands cooperation in areas such as aeronautics, higher education, social and solidarity economy, and precision agriculture.
