Emilia-Romagna and Prefectures sign anti-mafia cooperation agreement
The Emilia-Romagna Region and local Prefectures have signed a new convention aimed at strengthening institutional collaboration to combat mafia infiltration. Prepared by the Ministry of the Interior, the agreement focuses on reinforcing administrative anti-mafia prevention activities.
The protocol allows for the temporary assignment of regional personnel to Prefectures through command or secondment mechanisms. This initiative builds upon cooperation models established following the 2012 earthquake, which utilized dedicated personnel to enhance controls and prevent organized crime from infiltrating reconstruction processes. The goal is to safeguard the regional economic system and ensure the effectiveness of investigative and administrative anti-mafia actions.
