Emilia-Romagna announces 2026 cycling tourism and youth cyclocross programs

The Emilia-Romagna region is expanding its cycling initiatives through new tourism events and youth development programs scheduled for 2026.

UISP (Unione Italiana Sport Per tutti) has released its 2026 cycle tourism calendar. Participation in these events requires a valid membership card from recognized associations such as UISP, PACS, CSI, SCI, or FCI to ensure insurance coverage. Key upcoming events include the Apertura Faenza on February 22, the Gran Fondo Valle Senio on April 19, and the 44th Giro della Romagna on May 10.

Additionally, the regional committee is launching a cyclocross training project for youth for the 2026/2027 season. The program focuses on technical skills, safety, and psychological balance rather than early specialization. The initiative includes online theoretical training, a specialized manual curated by Asd A Favore del Ciclismo, and practical field sessions in locations such as Castelnuovo di Sotto, Castrocaro Terme, and Casalechio di Reno.
